ALEXIOU LEATHER COUCHES | Terms and Conditions


Quotations are valid for 10 days from date of quotation.
In the event of a promotion, the relevant quotation will be valid for the duration of the promotion.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that information and specifications are correct - including the dimensions, choice of leather or fabric, number of items, special features and any other specific requirements.

Custom-made Orders

Quotations are confirmed in writing together with the correct order specifications - either via an email or in person (in-store).
A deposit of at least 50% is required upon confirmation to process the order for production.
Order will not be processed until the deposit amount has reflected in the Alexiou Leather Couches bank account.
Order will only be released for delivery/collection once the balance amount reflects in the Alexiou Leather Couches bank account.
All orders remain the property of Alexiou Leather Couches until the full amount has been received.
Order lead time is between 4-8 weeks depending on the number of units, size of furniture and the complexity of the order.
No cancellation will be allowed once the order has commenced manufacture.

Returns and Refunds

Standard stock and off-the floor items may be exchanged within 7 days; provided items are in their original condition.
Delivery charges are not refundable, and a collection fee will be applicable.
Alexiou Leather Couches will not exchange or refund any items where the natural characteristics and imperfections of the product were pointed out to the customer at time of purchase.
For items that are custom-made to your specifications no refund or exchange is allowed. Only in the event where there is an error on our part in the specifications, a workmanship error or item is found to be faulty, will Alexiou Leather Couches resolve the issue to the customer's satisfaction.
For an agreed refund, item will be checked by Alexiou Leather Couches and banking details will be confirmed with the customer. Refunds are paid on the 12th and 20th of the month. Where this day falls on Sunday or public holiday the next applicable day will apply. Allow for 2-4 business days for refund to reflect.
Sale Items - no returns or refunds on sale items are permitted once the goods have been delivered and received in good order. This includes showroom floor stock.

Product Material

Leather: Full Grain leather is characteristic of scratches, tick bite scarring, stretch marks and scuff marks which are all part of the inherent, original character of the individual hide and not deemed as a defect.
Leather hide colours will differ from one dye lot batch to another and every effort is made to match up hides as optimally as possible - especially on bigger sized products. Leather products are made using top quality hides and may not be uniform in colour or texture with natural marketing showing - there may be slight shade and grain variations - each hide has its own distinctive character.
Under no circumstance should leather be exposed to direct sunlight as this causes the leather to dry out, fade and discolour. With every purchase of leather furniture, the customer is provided with a complimentary leather care pack - comprising of leather care and maintenance instructions and leather hide food. The hide food should be applied to leather furniture to moisturise and maintain the softness and character of the leather.
Fabric: The colour and texture of fabric may vary from the samples available due to dye lot variations. It is recommended that fabric furniture be scotch-guarded to provide greater protection.


Alexiou Leather Couches is not responsible for the usage and treatment of the item in the customer's environment - this is beyond Alexiou Leather Couches' control. There is no liability for the natural wear and tear of leather and/or fabric furniture.
Any defects or damage arising from negligence or misuse of item - including and not limited to:


Alexiou Leather Couches does not offer storage facilities. In cases where customer has not collected or had items delivered within 14 days post customer notification – a storage fee of R50 per day may be charged. This fee is to be settled in full prior to releasing the item for delivery.
